13 in '13 by Lisa

I sure can tell my vacation has begun. I've been having so much fun getting to blog and joining linky parties.
I'm linking up for the 13 in '13 Linky Party! It is being hosted by Hadar of Miss Kindergarten, Kristin of A Teeny Tiny Teacher and Traci of Dragonflies in first.

I would have to say my pajamas pants. Last year I bought some cropped  silky pajamies and they are so comfy. I am always hot and my kiddos are always cold so these are just right for me.

I love going to the movies. But I love to read more. So put together a great book and a fantastic movie~ Catching Fire! It did not disappoint=)

I love 2 shows currently. Once Upon a Time and Scandal. I need to catch up on all episodes!

My kiddos and I have enjoyed eating at Jason's Deli. One just opened 5 minutes from us~yay!

Blogging. I had been reading blogs for about 1 year and in the summer decided to begin this blog with my bestest friend. So much fun!

I will do gifts I gave~  my favorite for my son was sending him to Europe for a Spring Break Tour with his French class. It was tough financially, but I know it was an experience he will never forget. He has always been a world traveler in his heart and this trip was his first step.
For my daughter~ I helped as much as I could with her first trips abroad~ She studied in Germany for a month and is now studying in China. She plans to study in Argentina in 2014 and I will help her as much as can.
I have always wanted to travel but never did. Now I get to help my babies and hopefully I will get to join them on some adventures in the future=)
I love to pin things that make me smile. And I love penguins.
awwww

I don't know. I have loved all of them. And there's really not that many.

This school year!
I must say, it has been tough. I have a lot of needs in my class combined with a lot of challenges. The fact that I did not lose my mind is crazy. Seriously though, I nearly did lose it a few times. Some days I feel like my morning is a battle~challenging gifted students, constantly reteaching students who are working on a first grade level in a third grade classroom, students that are not medicated for ADD, students who are not medicated for ADHD, dyslexic students that have not been tested yet, etc.
I want to help each and every one of my students and I am plum worn out by noon.
With that said, the kiddos are growing. They have all moved ahead and I so want all of my students at grade level or above. Hopefully, we will all get there!
Tina celebrated her 50th birthday and it was so much.

To learn how to do more for this little old blog! I have already learned so much since this summer and I want to keep learning.

 love

Thanks for reading, Merry Christmas, and visit this linky party. It's a ton of fun!

Christmas Questionnaire Linky Party

I've finally jumped on this bandwagon found the time to join in on this fun linky=)

http://fabulousinfirst.blogspot.com/2013/12/christmas-questionnaire.html
Hot Chocolate or Eggnog?
Hot chocolate all the way. I made my students peppermint mocha hot chocolate because it is my favorite=)

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them underneath the tree?
Santa always wrapped our gifts when I was little and he still does. Even though my kids are 18, 23 and 23 (my adopted daughter included), he still wraps their gifts.

Colored lights or white?
I have always used white lights on the house. This year I thought I would try something different so I got rid of the barely working white icicle lights that we have used for a decade. I took the kids shopping for new lights. I thought we should kick it up a notch, try something a little crazy and dangerous. When I suggested colored lights, the kiddos almost had a meltdown.
Needless to say, white lights it is!

When do you decorate?
I used to decorate over Thanksgiving break, but now that the kids are in college, it just depends when everybody is home. My daughter is studying in China for 5 weeks and I'm sad to say I haven't had the desire to decorate the whole house.

Real or Fake Tree?
We have always had fake trees except for a couple of years when we actually cut down our own tree.

What Tops Your Tree?
A beautiful tin angel that my mom made me a few years ago. The angel is so gorgeous and special that I keep it displayed all year long.

Favorite Christmas Memories or Traditions?
When my children were little, I bought them each their own Christmas tree for their bedrooms. They chose their own ornaments and we made ornaments.  I would leave their trees lit up all night and it was all so magical.
When I was little, I loved all of the ornaments my mom would make. She is a retired arts and crafts teacher and she would make all of her own ornaments, nativity pieces, and Christmas villages. I loved it as a child  and I still do.

Do you remember your favorite gift as a child?
A Wonder Woman barbie doll. I loved the t.v. show and the cartoon. I waited all year for that present and my mom Santa did not disappoint.

Do you prefer giving or receiving?
I love giving gifts, especially homemade gifts from the heart.

What is your favorite Christmas song?
The Little Drummer Boy. When my son was in 6th grade, he got to play this song as a solo on his cello. It was amazing and will always be my favorite.

Candy Canes. Yuck or Yum?
I love to use them to stir my hot chocolate. Not all of the time, just sometimes=)

Favorite Christmas Movie?
I love to laugh so my favorite is A Muppet's Christmas Carol.

Do you shop online or at stores?
Both.

Photo Cards, Letter or Store Bought Card?
Photo cards are my go to but I will use store bought.

That's all folks. Click on the link above to join Michelle's party or to just read up on other bloggers.
